Header Graphic - Grade 2 Courses

For those that are doing the Coast to Coast next year, or those that just want to know how to utilise more of New Zealands rivers and coastline!

Grade 2 Training Dam to Cam
Wednesday nights and pre-arranged Saturday mornings from October 3rd (daylight savings) Excellent training for Grade 2 water this one, most of our grade twos have had a swim on this stretch of water. The flow can vary from 150c/s to 500c/s. Good for practising fairy glides and eddy hopping. Later in the season it turns into an upstream paddle: Cam-Dam-Cam

  • every Wednesday night
  • 6pm - meet above the dam in the car park next to the power station opposite - opposite side of the dam to SH1
  • We transport you back to the carpark afterwards

Cost: $150 for 5 trips and instruction

Grade 2 Certificate
The assessment weekend for this will be held in Early November, on the Mohaka River. You need to have done at least 3 Dam to Cambridge paddles, or equivalent training with us before the assessment weekend.
Assessment Weekend:
$400 fully catered
All grade 2 trips/training is with a qualified instructor
