Fishing By Kayak

Above, from left, Sarah, Georgia and Katie paddle the Hauraki Gulf in search of big snapper.

Our recent fishing trip out from Papa Aroha on the Coromandel Peninsula was a great success as these photos, taken by professional guide Rob Fort, show. The trip was one of Coromandel Kayak Adventures "Kayak Fishing" activities. We headed out there in January and picked a perfect day for it. Great weather, with a superb catch thanks to Rob putting us onto some good fish and a lot of fun was had by all. From the Boatshed we had Sarah, Katie, Georgia and Jeremy and we also took Tim along for the day. The cafe must have served up a few good fish-of-day meals after this expedition.

I you're keen to give this experience a whirl yourself, check out Rob's website and give him a call. It's a great way to "learn fast and feel safe with the experts".
