Richard is co-owner-operator of the Boatshed Café and Kayaks with his wife Robyn and is in charge of the kayaking side of the business. He is also the race director for the Maungatautari Mission multi-sport race. Richard has completed the Speights Coast-to-Coast event many times as an individual competitor. In this photo he is enjoying a glass of champagne during a recent celebration for the launching of a new kayak at the Boatshed.

Robyn Clark
Robyn is co-owner-operator of the Boatshed Café and Kayaks with her husband Richard. She runs the café side of the business and is in charge of the menu, currently acting as executive chef. Robyn also did all the landscape design for the beautiful grounds of the property. She is a recreational kayaker and has participated in the Speights Coast-to-Coast as a team member with her husband.

Eldest of the three Clark daughters, Rebecca is an artist and a photographer, responsible for some of the photos that appear on this web site. She is currently studying media arts at Waikato university, is a keen and experienced kayaker, teaches "Kids Club" kayak lessons, takes school groups for kayak skills instruction and also helps out in the café at times.

Maddy is the middle Clark daughter, currently at Lincoln studying Landscape architecture. She has been a netballer but is currently a rower. She helps out at the Boatshed Café in her holidays, when she is home.

Phoebe Clark
Youngest of the three Clark girls, Phoebe is in the 5th form at St Peters. Like her older sister, she sometimes teaches Kids Club kayaking classes and is a keen rower and kayaker who is actively involved in multi-sport. She rows for her school and is in the Junior Development Squad for rowing. Phoebe helps out in the caf
é as required.

Penny is a rower who works at the Boatshed Café in many different roles, such as kitchen duties or computer tasks, as required. She and Candice (see below) were both in the winning women's 8 crew at the 06 Nationals.

A world class rower, Duncan was the bronze medallist at the 06 World Champs in the lightweight single scull. He is the current National Lightweight Single Scull Champion for 2007. He assists Richard with the kayak side of the business and occasionally paddles a kayak as well.

An elite rower who is the National Women's Lightweight Single Sculls Champion for 2007. She was in the same winning women's 8 crew at the Nationals with Penny (above). Candice works in the café as Robyn's assistant where she is also the barrista who makes terrific coffees.
